Well-Being and Academics

Navigating the culture of college is tough. As you face new challenges in the classroom, you are also adjusting to new freedoms and responsibilities, forming new relationships, and questioning what your future will be. You are not alone as you travel along this pathway.

It is often said that achieving academic success comes at a price, especially for students. The pressures of assignments, exams, and extracurricular activities can lead to burnout, negatively affecting physical and mental health. However, this does not mean students should compromise their well-being for better grades. Students can enjoy improved academic performance while maintaining their health by taking charge of self-care.

Partnering with the William Magee Center for AOD and Wellness Education and the University of Mississippi Student Health Center, we hope to bring light and resources to these areas.
