The Division of Pharmacy Professional Development aims to be a leader in advancing pharmacy practice in Mississippi and beyond.

Its mission is to develop professionals who can identify and meet each patient’s unique medication-related needs, promote wellness and healthy lifestyles, ensure appropriate medication use, serve as essential members of interprofessional care teams, implement sustainable value-based financial models, and act as effective preceptors.

To achieve this, the DPPD offers cutting-edge educational programs through innovative delivery methods, integrates professional development across campuses and regions, strengthens the value of its offerings, builds strong relationships with preceptors and alumni, and establishes strategic partnerships and collaborations.
