Application to the Professional Pharmacy Program

Welcome to Ole Miss sign

The Professional Degree Program consists of four years of course work preceded by three years of pre-professional (pre-pharmacy) courses. The four professional years includes a final year in the B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences program and three years in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Application to the B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences program is via one of two processes termed Early Entry and Regular Entry. The Regular Entry process is for students in their final year of pre-professional year education. Early Entry is only for high school seniors possessing a minimum ACT score of 25 (math subscore of 25) and an outstanding high school GPA.

Regular Entry application must occur via PharmCAS, the Pharmacy College Application Service. All materials must be received by PharmCAS by March 1 for consideration for admission for the following August. Regular Entry applicants do not initially apply to the University of Mississippi or the School of Pharmacy, but must do so if invited for an interview. Interview invitations will be extended following local review of information submitted to PharmCAS. Individuals accepting this invitation must complete the online University of Mississippi application for admission and select Pharmaceutical Sciences as the major. They must then complete the UM Special Programs and Scholarship Application. The program is open to both residents and non-residents of Mississippi.
