Pharmacy Graduate Students Win AAPS Student Chapter Award

The University of Mississippi chapter of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientistshas been selected as a recipient of the 2021 Student Chapter Award by the national organization.

The award is given to chapters that demonstrate exceptional commitment to service and outreach. Up to three chapters nationwide are selected for the award each year. 

This is the first time the Ole Miss chapter has received the award. A plaque honoring the achievement will be presented to the group at the annual AAPS PharmSci 360 meeting in October. The chapter also will receive $1,000 to support future activities.

Hyllore Imeri is making waves at the School of Pharmacy. As a graduate student with the Department of Pharmacy Administration, she is an active member of pharmacy organizations and was recently selected for the 2021 Advancing STEM Scholarship. Learn more about stellar student Imeri.


Salahuddin Mohammed

Pharmacology Graduate Student Striving for Excellence

Salahuddin Mohammed, a graduate student in the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, has always sought to make his mark on the research and science world. As a young student with an interest in neuroscience, that desire led him to pursue a career in pharmacy and has taken him across the globe. That passion brought him to Ole Miss, where he has excelled as a researcher.

Our own Michael Repka, along with Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery alums Jiaxiang Zhang and Manjeet Pimparade, received the 2021 AAPS PharmSci Tech High Impact Article Award. Congratulations to these stellar researchers!
