Residency ShowcaseThe student pharmacists in Jackson had a chance to attend the Residency Information and Showcase Expo, an opportunity for them to learn about residency and the application process and meet site reps from across the region.

 


PLS RetreatStudent pharmacist leaders from different organizations gathered for a daylong leadership retreat. Guest speaker Andy Traynor, director of residencies & practice development, Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy, spoke about the Kouzes and Posner leadership model and how to apply it to their leadership roles.

 


Phi Kappa Phi 2018Congrats to 16 #olemisspharmacy students on their induction into @phikappaphi! Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest, largest and most selective honor society. Membership is based on a student’s sound character and academic standing.

 


Announcements

Student organization Prescription for Service and the School of Pharmacy will host the Mississippi Walk for Diabetes, a fundraiser for the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, on Sunday, Nov. 4 at the Lyceum Loop on the Ole Miss campus. The SOP team will be walking in honor of the late Anne Marie Liles, who was SOP director of experiential affairs and clinical associate professor of pharmacy practice, and Mart Chandler, who was an Oxford endocrinologist.
