The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy is joining the RAPID Alliance Medications 360 Study with a goal of transforming how medications and vaccines are delivered in the United States. The RAPID Alliance is a multi-stakeholder research consortium founded in the University of Louisville Center for Health Organization Transformation, a National Science Foundation-funded research center. The school will help lead an all-hands-on-deck effort to co-create theRAPID Alliance Medications 360 Framework 2022-2031, a set of transformational strategies and a nationally prioritized research agenda for optimizing the use of medications, vaccinations and other therapies from 2022-2031.

School of Pharmacy Partners with Takeda Pharmaceuticals on Fellowship

The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy and Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. have established a new fellowship that will help pharmacy administration students enrolled at the university to gain valuable industry experience in a real-world setting. Takeda is one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, with a long history in research and development of patient treatments. The company employs approximately 47,000 people, including more than 19,000 in the United States.

Two Student Pharmacists Named AACP Walmart Scholars

Harshin Sanjanwala and Matthew Foster, both students with the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, were named honorees of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Walmart Scholars Program. The honor and accompanying $1,000 scholarship are given to recipients who are committed to a career in academic pharmacy. That marks the 13th consecutive year that the School of Pharmacy had at least one Walmart Scholars honoree.
