The tragic events taking place in our country over the recent weeks have brought feelings of fear, anger and sadness. Racism and hatred in any form have no place in our society or the pharmacy profession. Every single person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and care.
We support our African-American and other minority faculty, staff, students and alumni. We must all do better in the area of inclusion, and we must promote others to do the same.
At Ole Miss Pharmacy, we are dedicated to an environment where everyone is valued and heard. We will stand together, embrace meaningful conversations and take action to move positively forward. Our university leadership is committed to a stronger community, as shared in messages by Chancellor Glenn Boyce and Provost Noel Wilkin.
These complex and challenging times offer opportunity for all of us to lead and be agents of change. Whether on our campus or across the nation, we must all respect one another and grow as a healthy and loving community.
