Advantages of the Early Entry Program

Students in a classroom

The Early Entry Program provides opportunities to engage in both professional  and personal relationships with School of Pharmacy faculty and upperclassmen immediately upon entering the University instead of waiting to complete the traditional three-year pre-pharmacy program.

Early entry students avoid the competitive selection process for admission into the B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences program, which traditionally occurs following completion of three years of pre-pharmacy work.

Applicants admitted to the Early Entry program who continue to meet the program criteria are automatically admitted to the Doctor of Pharmacy program and are well-positioned to apply for many of the Doctor of Philosophy programs within the School of Pharmacy.

Early entry students are eligible for special recruiting scholarships and have earlier access to School of Pharmacy performance scholarships.

The Living-Learning Community is also a great option for early entry students, as it adds additional support and sense of community to the robust program initiatives already in place to help Early Entry Pharmacy students succeed.

Early entry students may participate in professional student organizations and associated leadership development programming earlier in their collegiate careers.
