Welcome to the SOP

One of the great things about serving as dean at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy is interacting with exceptional student pharmacists like you. You are an essential part of our school's success. We talk a lot about the Ole Miss Pharmacy phamily. Everyone creates an atmosphere of support and encouragement within our school. When you committed to Ole Miss Pharmacy, you became part of that family, and we take that very seriously. As a nationally ranked program, you are learning from preeminent faculty and scientists in their fields. You join students in other healthcare disciplines for interprofessional education activities, which is a great way to learn about the essential roles of a pharmacist. Involvement in our student organizations provides community service participation and networking at a local and national level. Our campuses allow for a wide range of educational research opportunities so that you are industry-smart and practice-ready upon graduation. Since 1908, outstanding students like you have shaped our school's history of excellence. While we support your personal and professional development, you direct your way through a diverse career path. As a graduate of the school, I hope your journey in the pharmacy profession or the pharmaceutical sciences is as rewarding to you as my journey has been to me.
