First Cohort Completes New Online Degree Program
Students earn master’s degrees in Dietary Supplements and Medical Cannabis
Oxford, Miss. – The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy has reached an exciting milestone with the graduation of the first cohort of students from the Dietary Supplements and Medical Cannabis (DSMC) online program.
The inaugural class represents the best of what the programs are all about: professionals working in the supplement and medical cannabis industries sharpening their expertise, career-changers pursuing a new passion, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals rounding out their clinical knowledge.
Even employer-sponsored students whose companies recognize the value of investing in this education have been drawn to the program. Their diverse ages, backgrounds, and goals are testaments to the growing reach and relevance of these industries.
The DSMC Online Programs offer three flexible pathways:
- MS in Dietary Supplements and Medical Cannabis
- Certificate in Dietary Supplements
- Certificate in Medical Cannabis
All three programs are delivered asynchronously online, giving students the flexibility to access coursework and complete assignments on their own schedule within established deadlines. Whether students are looking to advance in current roles, move into a new area of natural products, or add academic credentials to industry experience, the flexible format is built to fit.
The 30-credit-hour, two-year program includes one required in-person visit to the International Conference on the Science of Botanicals (ICSB), while the certificates offer a more focused, one-year commitment. Learn more and apply here.By
