Licensure or Public Disclosures

The Doctor of Pharmacy program meets the educational requirements for licensure in the state of Mississippi.

We have not determined if the program curriculum meets the educational requirements for licensure or certification in the other US states, territories or the District of Columbia.

The program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education. Upon graduation, students are eligible to apply for state licensing exams. Individuals must meet state regulations, determined by occupational settings, for the state in which they wish to practice. Compliance with state regulatory requirements is mandatory, and the only avenue towards legal practice. The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy supplies information relative to individual state regulations.

Should a graduate decide to apply for licensure in another state and need an “institutional recommendation” or other similar form completed for that state application, the graduate may email the UM School of Pharmacy.
