Call for Proposals

We are pleased to announce our Call for Proposals for the Glycoscience Center of Research Excellence (GlyCORE) Junior Investigator Awards and Pilot Project Program Awards.

GlyCORE will support four concurrent Junior Investigator Projects of $175,000/year of direct costs for three years to begin 4/1/2023 and two Pilot Project Program Awards of $50,000/year of direct costs for two years to begin 4/1/2023.  The awards include four mechanisms of support: financial support of the research program, highest priority access to subsidized Research Cores, a required mentorship program, and research dissemination opportunities.

Research Project Leaders must hold a tenure-track faculty appointment (or equivalent at research institutes), however, established investigators who are making significant changes in their research to include glycoscience are also eligible to apply.

A Letter of Intent and Specific Aims Page are Due Tuesday, March 1, 2022 and must be submitted via the University of Mississippi InfoReady website: https://olemiss.infoready4.com/#.

March 1, 2022         Letter of Intent Due:  One Specific Aims-type Page; Identify Mentor; Previous Funding Page (Submit through InfoReady Review Portal)

March 8, 2022         Notice to Proceed with R21-Style Proposal

June 1, 2022           R21-Style Proposal Due (with Specific Aims, 6-Page Research Strategy, Budget and Justification)

March 1, 2023         Notice of Award After NIH Approval

April 1, 2023            Project Start Date
