Those graduating with honors will also pick up an honor cord at the table along with the reader card. Please note that these will need to be returned, along with the gowns, following the ceremony.
After receiving a reader card, participants will enter the Studio Theatre and line up in alphabetical order. Staff members will be on hand to help and lead onto the stage. Staff will be working with the class marshals and the first students from each class to explain the process.
There will not be a formal recessional after the ceremony, but graduates are asked to promptly exit the stage through the same door they entered to help get everyone back to their family and friends as quickly as possible. Before departure, graduates must drop off their gown in the Cap & Gown return box. These will be located on the 1st floor level (Orchestra level) near the circle drive, as well as the 3rd floor level (Mezzanine level) that exits onto University Avenue. Graduates may keep the cap and tassel.
