Coronavirus Admissions FAQs

Who can I contact with questions?

We are still here to help! Contact our admissions team via their email addresses below. You can also schedule a time to video chat with us via Zoom.

Meredith Pyle, Admissions Counselor: mapyle@olemiss.edu

Noelle Stanley, Admissions Counselor: noelle@olemiss.edu

Lindsey Cooper, Coordinator of Admissions: lindsey@olemiss.edu

Will this affect timing of admission notification?

Not at all! Thanks to the hard work of our faculty, staff and students, we were able to conduct our March 20th interview day virtually. We are on track to get those admission decisions out as scheduled. Any student that is pending, will be notified after spring grades have been posted.

Will more interview dates be added later?

There is the possibility that an additional interview day will be scheduled to accommodate students who were unable to submit their transcripts as a result of COVID-19 transitions. If a student’s PharmCAS application is not complete, they should contact PharmCAS directly.

UMSOP was scheduled to visit my area. Will they still be here?

For the safety of our staff, we will be suspending travel for the remainder of the Spring 2020 term. We are excited about participating in virtual opportunities. Be sure to check our admissions team’s social media accounts to stay informed about virtual events we are “attending.”

Will I be allowed to step foot on campus?

Unfortunately, the university is not currently offering physical tours of campus. Be sure to take this virtual tour of our beautiful campus until you can come visit us in Oxford.

What about the school’s summer programs?

The pharmacy school programs have been canceled. We hope to have other opportunities throughout the summer and return to our events next year.

Who should I contact if I’m interested in a graduate program?

Please refer to the Graduate School website for any questions. You can also contact the graduate program coordinator of your interested area of emphases or fill out this request form with your specific questions.
