UM pharmacy students who maintain a 3.5 grade-point average receive scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 per year. The scholarships, which grow as students progress through our curriculum, reward academic performance and are entitlements for which students need not apply.
The School of Pharmacy is pleased to announce that scholarships covering the non-Mississippi resident portion of tuition are available to our top 10 new non-resident applicants. Applicants possessing a PCAT composite percentile score of 80 or above will be automatically considered for these awards. The scholarships are renewable for a second year, if recipients achieve a 2.75 GPA on required first professional year courses, at which point non-residents should be eligible for Mississippi residency. Admission preference will continue to be granted to Mississippi residents.
Pharmacy students are also eligible for scholarships through the Office of Financial Aid. Programming for each class of pharmacy students on both campuses is provided by representatives of the financial aid office to ensure students are completely aware of opportunities and responsibilities associated with financial aid applications.
