Graduate Student

I obtained my Doctor of Pharmacy(Pharm D.) degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. I am currently a PhD Pharmaceutical sciences student working under Dr. Courtney Roper in the Environmental Toxicology division of BioMolecular sciences. My research interests are analyzing the differences between particulate matter, black carbon and oxidative potential across locations, and analyzing the developmental toxicity of these particulates in model organisms like zebrafish.

I graduated in 2019 from the University of Mississippi with a B.S. in Forensic Chemistry with Biological Sciences and Legal Studies minors. Currently a first year graduate student under Dr. Courtney Roper with the Roper Lab in the Environmental Toxicology Division of Biomolecular Sciences. Interests include research and development of methods involving air pollution particulate matter extraction and characterization.

I completed my undergraduate studies in Chemistry at the University of Mississippi. I am currently a first-year graduate student pursuing a PhD in Environmental Toxicology in Dr. Courtney Roper’s research lab in the Department of BioMolecular Sciences. My research interest includes using in vitro and in vivo models to investigate the impact of size selective gunshot residue on the environment and human health.

I received my BS in Biology and Spanish and my MS in Biology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I am currently a Ph.D. student working under Dr. Courtney Roper in the Environmental Toxicology Division of BioMolecular Sciences. My interests include using zebrafish (Danio rerio) as a model organism for studying the impacts of air pollution, specifically particulate matter, on human health.
